nostalgia

Crashing to smithereens
the star remembered the sky,
but the sky remain up there
embracing other numerous stars
and shall always remain.

Trickling down the cheeks
the teardrops remembered the eyes,
but the eyes remain there
to shed other tears again
and shall always remain.

Spilling on a page as words
the poem thought about the heart,
but the heart is always in there
knitting words into poems
and shall always remain
beating ceaselessly.

Scalded by cruel thoughts
this moment wails
but why can’t this moment live
without turning back to nostalgia?
